1. You can respec basically for free - TP + ID scroll in cube gives you a token of absolution

2. You can retrieve sockets from items by cubing item in question with a TP scroll, this can be used to re-roll runewords until you get the result you want

3. All gear can be augmented with Perfect Gems or Runes in the cube - check the website for the cube recipe list

4. Essences that drop in hell have been replaced by Socketing orbs, those work the same as the vanilla cube socketing recipe

5. There are many new runewords added, once you have found 5-10 different runes and you are between level 20 and 35 it's worth checking out the runeword list on the website

6. You can use magic jewels to socket a white/etherial item with a specific number of sockets equal to the number of jewels used ( if the item supports it )

7. You can make downgrade any gem/rune to the lowest one ( or something a bit higher )

8. You can store all your gems into a gem bag, which is creating by cubing all the 7 different chipped gems together

9. Grabbing gems from the gem bag is done via gem grabbers which are created by cubing a chipped of the type. After done the grabber can be cycled through all the tiers from Chipped to Perfect and then Chipped again

10. There is a charm that allows your melee attacks to have splash damage, in version <= 1.19 it's sold by Akara. In version 1.20+ it drops from Corpsefire in the Den of evil and can be upgraded via cube recipes

11. Many skills have been changed, some synergies are changed as well. You can see the changes ingame, Press Escape and then Class Balancing button

12. Skills cap out at 25 hard points, up from 20
